Christopher M. Watson, MD, MPH, FAAP, FCCM is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and is a pediatric intensivist at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. He completed his pediatric residency at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, Maryland – and an additional year as Chief Resident – prior to fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Subsequently, he served in the US Navy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as the Pediatric Residency Associate Program Director and the PICU Medical Director, also having deployed to the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2012-13. Dr. Watson currently serves as the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program Director at the Medical College of Georgia. His continued areas of interest include medical education, pediatric trauma, and pediatric preparedness.
