Avani Mohta, MD is a trained anesthesiologist and currently an internist in training at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana-Champaign. She completed her training in Anesthesiology at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. She also briefly worked in the ICU in India as a Senior Resident, where she realized her love for critical care. She decided to come to the US to pursue further training and research in the field. She is currently a second-year resident in the internal medicine residency program at the Carle foundation hospital and she aspires to pursue a fellowship in pulmonary critical care medicine in the future.
