Dr. Sarah Nelson is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Associate Director of the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) at Mount Sinai West. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine, then completed her neurology residency at Tufts Medical Center and fellowship in neurocritical care at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She most recently earned a Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She currently has diverse clinical interests in the field of neurocritical care and enjoys both teaching and research.
