Dr. Tufik Assad, MD, MSCI works as a pulmonary and critical care physician at WIlliamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. He attended college at Boston University and then completed medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He moved back to Boston, MA to complete an internal medicine internship, residency, and chief residency at Boston University Medical Center. He then moved to Nashville, TN for his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University. While a fellow, he completed a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. He has worked at Williamson Medical Center for the past 5 years. He serves as the Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit and for the Lung Nodule Program at Williamson Medical Center. In addition, he serves as the cancer physician liaison for the Commission on Cancer and on the COVID-19 Task Force for his hospital. He lives in Nashville with his wife and two children
