BIOGRAPHY ADEYINKA, ADEBAYO MD, FAAP, FCCM
Dr. Adeyinka Adebayo was born and grew up in Lagos Nigeria, West Africa.
He started Medical School at Minsk State Medical University in the present Republic of Belarus formerly the Belarussian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1990 and completed his medical education with distinction in 1996. From 1996 to 1999 he was a postgraduate student at the same Medical University in the Department of Surgery and bagged a post-graduate diploma in General Surgery in 1999.
He completed his residency training in General Pediatrics at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center Brooklyn New York affiliated with Langone Medical School, New York University in 2005, and completed his fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Cohens Children’s Hospital in 2008.
He currently works in the Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He is the director of the pediatric simulation laboratory and the Associate Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Adeyinka is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Icahn Medical School at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Manhattan New York. He has also held a similar position with Weil Medical School at Cornell University in Manhattan, New York.
Dr. Adeyinka is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and also of the College of Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of several medical societies.
He has served in various committees in the SCCM. Dr. Adeyinka is an abstract reviewer and moderator for the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He is a well-published author and has a significant number of abstracts and publications to his name. Dr. Adeyinka is a reviewer for several prestigious journals some of which include Pediatrics, Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. His areas of interest are sepsis, airway management, and global health.
