Dr. Aaron Calhoun is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville and an attending physician in the "Just for Kids" Critical Care Center at Norton Children’s Hospital. He is an internationally recognized expert in simulation-based research and education. He is the associate chief of pediatric critical care medicine and is the founding director and senior advisor of the Simulation for Pediatric Assessment, Resuscitation and Communication (SPARC) program at Norton Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and chairs the International Network for Simulation-based Pediatric Innovation, Research, and Education (INSPIRE). Dr. Calhoun also serves as an associate editor for Simulation in Healthcare, the primary journal in the field of medical simulation.
