Sapna Kudchadkar is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Pediatrics, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is currently the Associate Vice Chair for Research in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine After clinical training in pediatrics, anesthesiology, pediatric critical care, and pediatric anesthesiology, she completed a PhD in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr Kudchadkar’s clinical and research focus is functional outcomes after critical illness and major surgery and the interplay of sedation optimization, sleep promotion, delirium prevention, and early mobilization in pediatric ICU care and activity and mobility promotion across the hospital system. She is the founder and Director of the Johns Hopkins PICU Up! Program, which has been implemented in ICUs internationally and part of a 10 center stepped-wedge trial. Additionally, she is a Senior Associate Editor for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
