Akram Khan received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, India. He completed his internal medicine and critical care training at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, pulmonary fellowship at the University Of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City and sleep medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
