Heather Torbic, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, is Medical Intensive Care Unit Clinical Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Torbic received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts; completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Boston Medical Center; and, a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Torbic is actively involved with student and resident training and is the program director for the PGY2 critical care pharmacy residency program at the Cleveland Clinic and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She is also actively involved in research, which includes acute respiratory distress syndrome and sedation/analgesia/agitation in critically ill patients. Dr. Torbic is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy and the Society of Critical Care Medicine and its CPP education section.
