Dr. Roopa Kohli-Seth is the Director of the Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM) at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. ICCM is home to 21 ICUs and one of the largest critical care fellowships in the country. Dr. Kohli-Seth is a board-certified, tenured Professor in the Department of Surgery with over 20 years of experience in Critical Care. She chairs several hospital committees with a focus on patient safety and hospital outcomes. She has been admitted as a Fellow to both the College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and the American College of Physicians (FACP). She is a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in many multi-center phase II and phase III clinical trials. Her most recent research areas include critical care quality improvement services and septic shock. The Children’s Hope Indian Board awarded Dr. Kohli-Seth the “Women of Courage Award” for her exceptional service to people in New York during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Kohli-Seth has also been awarded Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Nursing’s “Physician of the Year” twice, in 2015 and 2020, for her outstanding achievements in critical care services, research, and teaching.
