Kris M. Mogensen, MS, RD-AP, LDN, CNSC is a Team Leader Dietitian Specialist in the Department of Nutrition at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Adjunct Lecturer in Health Sciences (Nutrition) at Boston University College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Douglass College, Rutgers University, completed her dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Framingham State University.
She has been a registered dietitian for over 25 years, and has specialized in nutrition support for the majority of her career. She has coauthored numerous articles in professional journals, textbook chapters, and professional manuals. She lectures nationally and internationally on nutrition support and medical nutrition therapy. She is the Secretary/Treasurer for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), is a past Director on ASPEN’s Board of Directors, and is also past chair of ASPEN’s Clinical Practice Committee and Malnutrition Committee. She was appointed to the Massachusetts Commission on Malnutrition Prevention Among Older Adults by the governor of Massachusetts in 2017. Her area of research is malnutrition and critical care outcomes.
