Earnest Alexander, Jr., Pharm.D., BCCCP, FCCM
Dr. Earnest Alexander is the Assistant Director, Clinical Pharmacy Services for Tampa General Hospital’s Department of Pharmacy Services. He is the former Program Director for the PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Tampa General. He is also a Board-Certified Critical Care Pharmacist, an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Alexander holds faculty appointments as Clinical Assistant Professor with the Florida A&M University College of Pharmacy, the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy and the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Alexander has extensive experience in coordinating pharmaceutical care and shaping clinical service goals within a large academic medical center. This includes leadership of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy residency training programs, faculty, and student services.
His interests include team building & medication protocol/guideline development, implementation, and quality assurance aimed at optimizing medication safety and outcomes.
