Rajat Dhar, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He is a neuro-intensivist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital with over 15 years of experience. His research focuses on elucating mechanisms and outcomes of brain injury through imaging, genetics, and machine learning. He is funded by the NINDS for a study on the genetics and prediction of cerebral edema after hemispheric stroke. He is ex-chair of the Science Committee for the annual meeting of the Neurocritical Care Society and ex-chair of the Organ Donationa Research Council. He is currently guest editor for a Special Issue of the journal, Neurocritical Care on "Big Data" in the Neuro-ICU and organizes an annual workshop on Bioinformatics and Machine Learning.
