I have spent more than 30 years in Emergency Medicine and EMS and I have devoted my academic career to acute resuscitation research. I serve as the Medical Director for the nation’s largest non-profit critical care transport group and as an attending physician for a dedicated Post Cardiac Arrest Service. We see over 450 cardiac arrests annually. We have unique access to the patient from their prehospital care though rehabilitation allowing continuity and treatment by an comprehensive interdisciplinary care group. My area of expertise is in resuscitation with a focus prehospital care, emergency department care and interafcility transport.
