Elizabeth Farrington, Pharm.D., FCCP, FCCM, FPPA, BCPS, BCNSP is a clinical pharmacist in pediatrics at the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. She received a BS in Pharmacy degree in 1983 from the UNC Eschelman School of Pharmacy and a Pharm.D, degree from the University of Kentucky in 1985. She subsequently completed a 2 year clinical pharmacy residency (14 months in Pediatrics) at the A. B. Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky in 1987, followed by a 1 year pediatric pharmacotherapy Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Rich Leff, Pharm.D. at the University of Iowa. Her clinical practice is focused in pediatric critical care, general pediatrics and improving the care of the obstetric patient. She received the Richard A. Helms award of excellence in pediatric clinical practice from the Pediatric Pharmacy Association in 2017. She has served SCCM on numerous committees, the Board of Directors of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section, member of SCCM Council and as a member of the Board, secretary, president-elect, president and immediate past president for the Carolinas Virginas chapter of SCCM. Dr. Farrington was elected fellow of SCCM in 2008.
