Calvin E. Tucker PharmD, MBA, FCCM, BCCCP
Biography
Dr. Tucker is the Coordinator of Acute Care Surgery Pharmacy Services at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, FL and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Florida College of Pharmacy. Originally from Jacksonville; he obtained his doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Florida in 2009. Dr. Tucker completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at UF Health in Jacksonville, FL. To focus his goals and interests, he traveled to Miami, FL to complete a PGY-2 in Critical Care at Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition to his clinical training he obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2019. Dr. Tucker is also board certified in critical care pharmacy.
In addition to his role as a coordinator, Dr. Tucker is extremely involved in professional organizations. Dr. Tucker currently serves as the chair of the communications council for Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacist He also served on various within FSHP such as professional affairs council, education council, membership affairs council and board of directors. In addition Dr. Tucker a past chair of the communications committee within the clinical pharmacy and pharmacology section of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Tucker has given several presentations and published articles in the areas of clinical pharmacy, critical care and infectious diseases. He received the FSHP Forerunner Award in 2018 and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine in 2019.
