Felicia N. Williams, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at UNC-Chapel Hill in the Division of Burns. She dedicated her professional life to Burns and Surgical Critical Care in medical school after spending one month on the Burn Unit. During her residency, she completed a research fellowship at UTMB at Galveston focusing on the body’s physiologic responses to severe burn injury sponsored by the NIH. After finishing residency, she completed three clinical fellowships in Acute Burn, Surgical Critical Care and Burn Reconstruction at UTMB for the goal of being the complete Burn Surgeon. Her clinical interests include the hypermetabolic response to burn injury, nutrition, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and health disparities.
