I have been practicing clinical medicine for the past 17 years, and as an intensivist for 6 years. Following medical school, I gained vast and unique clinical training and experience working in India, the UK, Australia, and the USA. After my Critical Care Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in 2015, and subsequently at MD Anderson as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Critical Care in January 2019. I have now been promoted to Associate Professor in Critical Care Medicine in January 2022.

As a Director of Medical Education, APD for both IM Residency and CCM Fellowship Programs at Baylor College of Medicine, I had the pribviledge of interacting with a vairety of trainees who have enhanced me professionally and personally. Currently I am Physician Lead for Critical Care Outreach Program (CCOP) - an initiative to utilize DI scores and optimize collaboration between Critical Care Command Center, Triage, MERIT to address Failure To Rescue (FTR). I took the lead initiative to enhance CCOP to better assist the EC, Floor Teams and MERIT by reviewing patients and provide timely recommendations and expedite transfer of patients to ICU. I have achieved Testamur Status by passing the Boards in Special Competency in ECHO in March 2021. I am now completing my 150 formal ECHO to achieve FULL ECHO Board Certification.
