Shelsey W. Johnson, MD is a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellow at Boston University Medical Center. She is interested in studying variation in delivery of pulmonary and ICU care and the associated impact on outcomes. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a natural experiment in variation of provider adoption of rapidly evolving science and the VIRUS registry, through SCCM, has provided a platform on which to study this variation and understand impact on COVID-19 outcomes. In addition, her clinical interests are centered around management of patients with pulmonary hypertension.
