Yezan Abderrahman, MD. is a Pediatric Critical Care Fellow (PGY-5) affliated with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Completed residency training in Pediatrics at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Previously a part of research looking at regenrative cells in adult mammalian heart and role of redox regulation of cardiomyocyte renewal at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas TX. Currently researching cardiac dysfunction and immune response following traumatic brain injury at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Quality improvment project focus is POCUS use in the PICU.
