Emily Engelbrecht-Wiggans, B.S., M.S., is currently a third-year medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Most of her research in medical school has been related to the use of arterial catheters in the critical care setting at teh University of Maryland Medical Center. She will be presenting on arterial catheter use in non-hypertensive patients during this conference but has also been involved in research into other patient populations, included hypertensive patients and patients with acute aortic disease.
