Daniel Haase, MD is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He spends the majority of his clinical time in the Critical Care Resuscitation Unit (CCRU) in the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, a unique ICU that focuses on the transfer and resuscitation of time sensitive critical illness. He is the Medical Director of the CCRU and also spends clinical time in the Multi-Trauma Critical Care Unit in Shock Trauma.
Dr. Haase is also the Fellowship Director for the Emergency Medicine--Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Shock Trauma and the Direrctor of the Extracorporeal Life Support Fellowship. Dr. Haase also teaches and lectures on critical care echocardiography and directs the Shock Trauma Critical Care Transesophageal Echocardiography Program.
Dr. Haase's research interests include triage, transfer, and resuscitation of time sensitive critical illness, critical care ultrasound/ echocardiography, medical education, and hemodynamic monitoring.
