Adam Laytin is an emergency physician and surgical intensivist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the vice-chair of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine's Critical Care Special Interest Group (IFEM CC SIG). His research addresses the burden of medical emergencies, critical illness and trauma in low- and middle-income countries. He is working develop data-driven quality improvement and capacity building initiatives for resource-constrained settings in Ethiopia.
