My name is Sarah Blair, MA, and I am a research scientist at SUNY Upstate Medical University. In my lab, I have been working on understanding the inflammatory component of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and the immune systems response to ARDS and mechanical ventilation. Using this data, we hope to identify potential biomarkers of lung injury that can be used clinically to help patients with ARDS or who acquire ventilator induced lung injury (VILI).
