Philip J. Leisy, MD is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He initially graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Biology followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the Brody SchooI of Medicine at East Carolina University. He then completed residency in anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2018 followed by a fellowship in critical care medicine in 2019. Since graduation, he stayed on as faculty at Vanderbilt where he splits time between the operating room and intensive care units. His critical care focus is in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit as well as the Veterans Affairs Surgical Intensive Care Unit. In the operative room, he specializes in liver transplant anesthesia.
