Katelyn Flaherty is an MD-PhD student and Global Emergency Medicine Research Asssistant at the University of Florida. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Emory University in 2018, Ms. Flaherty became the first MD-PhD student at the University of Florida to seek a PhD in Public Health. In this role, Ms. Flaherty seeks to evaluate and address prehospital care in low-resource settings. Ms. Flaherty received a Fulbright-Hays Doctoal Dissertation Abroad Fellowship to study pediatric pre-emergency care in Ghana; thus will soon relocate abroad to collaborate with the Ghana Naitonal Ambulance Service.
