Marianne Nellis, MD, MS is a pediatric intensivist and the John D. & Lili R. Bussel Associate Professor in Pediatric Hematology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. Her primary research interests are in hemostasis and platelet transfusions in the critically ill. She recently led a large epidemiologic study of platelets transfusions in the PICU as well as the Transfusion Anemia eXpert Initiative - Control/Avoidance of Bleeding (TAXI-CAB) which sought to develop evidence based guidelines for the transfusion of plasma and platelets in critically ill children.
