Dr. Wise is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Advanced GI/Bariatric Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Clinically, he performs acute care and bariatric surgery. He has a significant research interest in hemodynamics of the venous system during sepsis, and collaborates with the Vascular Waveform Analyssis group at Vanderbilt University to study the use of the venous waveform in characterizing intravascular blood volume in sepsis.
