Greg Eisinger, MD, MSSW is currently a third year fellow in pulmonary/critical care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Greg began his undergraduate studies in psychology at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. He later transferred to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he finished his bachelor's in 2002 followed by a master's degree in clinical social work in 2005. He then worked for five years as a child and youth psychotherapist at a community mental health center in Knoxville, TN before returning to Chicagoland to attend medical school at Loyola University Chicago. He came to Columbus, OH in 2014 to begin residency training in the combined emergency and internal medicine program at OSU. He was fortunate to stay at Ohio State for fellowship training in pulmonary/critical care. He will begin his first faculty appointment at OSU this summer as an assistant professor with dual appointments in the division of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine and the department of emergency medicine. His current research interests include biomarkers for early sepsis detection and novel uses of the drug ketamine.
