Dr. Khalid A. Alsulaiman is a critical care clinical pharmacist consultant. He completed his bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical Sciences from king Saud university in 2011. Dr. Alsulaiman completed his postgraduate studies at King Abdulaziz Medical City. He completed PGY-1 in 2013, which has been accredited by the SCFHS and the ASHSP. Dr. Alsulaiman has a special interest in critical care, and in 2016 he completed his PGY-2 in critical care at KAMC and became a board-certified critical care pharmacist by both American and Saudi councils. Moreover, he obtained American board certification in nutritional support in 2018. Recently, he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from a swiss business school in 2021.
Dr. Alsulaiman is passionate about his career and ensures ongoing professional development in order to deliver the best care to his patients. His assertive nature, personal, professional attitude, and emotional sensitivity to patients make him a competent, effective, and respectful clinical pharmacist. He is the primary author of "Pharmacy resident shortcut – general clinical pharmacy" as well as "Critical care cornerstone" which were recently published. Moreover, he served as a reviewer for the book entitled "Critical Care Prep Course" by the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Dr. Alsulaiman research interests in critically ill patients have developed despite a full-time critical care practice. He is actively involved in research and has several publications in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has many ongoing research related to critical care and has an impact on practice. In addition, he is the founder of the Saudi Critical Care Pharmacy Research (SCAPE) platform that aims to build, network, mentor, facilitate, and exchange research ideas among Saudi Arabian and international researchers. Also, to empower students/residents and junior researchers to mentor them throughout their research journey.
