Dr. Michael Behal, PharmD is a PGY2 Critical Care pharmacy resident at the University of Kentucky Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky. He is originally from Kingsport, TN and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Knoxville, TN. He also completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at UK Healthcare last year. His current professional interests include medical/surgical ICU, emergency medicine, precepting and teaching, and clinical research. His clinical areas of interest include sepsis and septic shock, precision medicine in the critically ill, fluids and resuscitation, and antimicrobial PK/PD in the critically ill. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is also involved with the ACCP Critical Care PRN, ACCP Education PRN, and SCCM Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology section.
