Dr. Blackburn graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 at University of Florida Health Jacksonville and PGY2 in Critical Care at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. After residency she became the ICU Clinical Pharmacist at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake where she was promoted to Clinical Pharmacy Manager and enjoys working with a team of over 30 pharmacists to develop and expand the clinical pharmacy services. As PGY1 Residency Program Director, she is excited to have implemented the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and work with a passionate team of preceptors intent on providing a well-rounded, tailored learning environment to train future colleagues. Dr. Blackburn is committed to ongoing professionalism and actively involved in multiple organizations including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Society of Critical Care Medicine - Texas Chapter.
