Allison J. Tompeck, MD is a clinical assistant professor in the division of surgical critical care, trauma and acute care surgery at University of Arizona, Phoenix Campus. After graduating from PinnacleHealth General Surgery Residency, she moved to Dallas for surgical critical care fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In 2017, she joined Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix and shortly thereafter accepted her current position as Medical Director of the Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Tompeck has joined international efforts to teach Stop the Bleed, and is an active member of the SCCM patient safety committee. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she partnered with other intensivists to create new pathways and processes used at BUMC-P and across the system, including modified percutaneous tracheostomy for COVID-19. Above all, Dr.Tompeck's passion is creating a cohesive culture in the ICU with evidence based data driven practice.
