Dr. Stephen Pastores is the Program Director of Critical Care Medicine and Vice-Chair of Education in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. He is a Professor of Medicine in Anesthesiology and Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. He was trained and Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He is a Master of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine, and American College of Chest Physicians, and past Chancellor, Board of Regents of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. He has co-chaired the national and international SCCM Multiprofessional Critical Care Review Course and Update for over a decade. Dr. Pastores’ research interests include critical care oncology, clinical trials of sepsis and ARDS in immunocompromised patients, critical care organizations, and use and costs of critical care medicine in the US. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts. He was the 2013 Distinguished Service Award and 2016 Safar Global Partner Award from SCCM.
