Alicia Mohr, MD FACS FCCM is a professor of surgery and the division chief for Acute Care Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Mohr oversees the sections of Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care and Burns. She also serves as the Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowships. Dr. Mohr also runs a successful NIH funded laboratory examining the impact of chronic stress following injury and shock on erythropoiesis. She examines the direct correlation between the magnitude and duration of the stress response seen following severe traumatic injury and resultant erythropoietic dysfunction.
