Deborah U. Frank, MD PhD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia. Dr. Frank is a pediatric cardiac intensivist at UVA Children's. In addition to providing clinical care, she is currently focused on quality improvement for the General and Cardiac PICU patients. She is the physician champion for UVA PICU Up, the clinical champion for UVA's participation in the PC4 registry, and participates in the PC4 Chylothorax working group .
Dr. Frank graduated from Northwestern University and then joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at UVA, where she earned her medical degree and a PhD in biomedical engineering. After a pediatrics residency, Dr. Frank did fellowships in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine. Most of her training was completed at the University of Utah, with additional advanced cardiac critical care training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She completed training in 2006, and worked in the cardiac ICU at Primary Children’s Hospital/University of Utah until 2014, when she returned to UVA.
