Erik Su, MD is a cardiac intensivist in the Adult Congenital Heart ICU, Division of Critical Care, Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ultrasound has been an enthralling and important part of his clinical and academic career, as after he served as the initial chair of the Society of Critical Care Medicine's Critical Care Ultrasound - Pediatric Course Committee he has continued to pursue academic and educational ultrasound projects, travelling to Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of the SCCM's international ultrasound education efforts as well as publishing and pursuing supported research on ultrasound topics. Dr. Su is also a founding member of the Pediatric Research Collaborative on Critical Ultrasound, a group of academics within the Pediatric Acute Lung Injury and Sepsis Investigators interested in improving evidence for excellent and responsible ultrasound practice through collaboration. He is also a founder of the Texas Ultrasound Collaborative, a statewide multi-institutional and multidisciplinary educational conference on innovative ultrasound and echocardiography applications for infant, pediatric, and adult patients. He has a special interest in helping make critical care ultrasound practical and reliable in the practice of clinicians such as yourself.
