Dr. Robert Michael Sutton MD MSCE FAAP FCCM FAHA is a Professor of Anesthesia, Critical Care Medicine, and Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. At the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), he is the Division Chief of Critical Care Medicine and the Robert A. Berg Endowed Chair of Clinical Resuscitation Science. He is an internationally recognized expert in pediatric cardiac arrest resuscitation. He has focused his career on developing and evaluating novel techniques and devices to improve the care delivered during in-hospital resuscitation attempts. He has authored over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts spanning both the clinical and basic science literature to date, and his research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health for over a decade. He is the immediate past Chair of the AHA’s National Get with the Guidelines – Resuscitation Registry Pediatric Research Task Force and has been a main author of either the Pediatric Advanced or Basic Life Support Guidelines since 2015.
