Tierra Smith, MD is currently an Assistant Professor and Clinical Ultrasound faculty at the University of Florida. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. She attended Morehouse School of Medicine where she gained an interest in providing healthcare to underserved populations. Dr. Smith then attended the University of Florida – Gainesville for emergency medicine residency training and ultrasound fellowship training. She currently has interest in the application of point of care ultrasound in low resource settings. More specifically, Dr. Smith is interested in helping to build self-sustainable ultrasound training curriculums in Ghana.
