Jessica M. Jarvis, PhD, MT-BC, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As a health services researcher, their program of research centers on remediating pediatric post-intensive care syndrome (PICS-p) and improving post-PICU survivorship for children and their families through two separate, but related lines of inquiry: (1) Developing and testing nonpharmacologic, PICU-based interventions to improve functional outcomes; and (2) examining health equity in access to health care services and related health outcomes, both acutely in the PICU and post-PICU discharge.
