Sara Hocker, MD, FAAN, is Professor of Neurology and Chair of the Division of Neurocritical Care and Hospital Neurology, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed her medical school training at the University of Kansas Medical Center followed by neurology residency at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and a 2 year Neurocritical Care fellowship at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Hocker serves as Hospital Practice Chair for the department of neurology and has previously served as neurocritical care fellowship director for 5 years. Her research is focused on improving outcomes in status epilepticus and she enjoys mentoring residents, fellows, and junior staff.
