Daniel Najafali, BS is a recent bioengineering graduate from the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, a medical school applicant, and a member of the Research Associate Program in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care led by Quincy Khoi Tran, MD, PhD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Daniel, with the help of his mentors and colleagues, has been published in The Western Journal of Emergency Medicine, The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, The Journal of Emergency Medicine, Annals of Emergency Medicine, and Tissue Engineering Part A, among others. He hopes to contribute towards improving patient outcomes and improving the standard of care with his research.
