Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Critical Care

Dr. Rachel Kruer is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Indiana University Health, Adult Academic Health Center, where she also serves as the inpatient Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Kruer completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Rachel is a board certified critical care pharmacist. Her professional interests and experience focus on transitions of care and medication safety in the ICU. Dr. Kruer has served as a principal investigator on numerous multi-professional research protocols which have resulted in a number of published original research papers and presented abstracts addressing appropriate medication delivery in critically-ill patients.
