Cecilia Tran received her BS in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and is currently a second year medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. During her time at the UW, she spent two years in basic research focused on the role of cholesterol biosynthesis in neurodevelopmental disorders with a concentration in Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome. Since coming to Maryland, Cecilia’s interests in trauma and critical care medicine motivated her to pursue research endeavors regarding blood pressure variability and its role in traumatic brain injury under the guidance of Dr. Quincy Tran, MD, PhD, FACEP.
