Daniel Najafali, BS is a current first-year medical student at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and a bioengineering graduate from the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a member of the Research Associate Program in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care led by Quincy Khoi Tran, MD, PhD at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Daniel, with the help of his mentors and colleagues, aims to improve outcomes for patients in critical condition. He hopes to contribute towards improving patient outcomes and improving the standard of care in his medical career as a physician-innovator.
