Dr. Patricia (Tricia) Parker, Pharm.D., MS, BCPS, FCCM is the Assistant Chief of Inpatient Clinical Pharmacy Services at UC Davis Medical Center. Dr. Parker joined the UC Davis Medical Center team in 1999 as an Acute Care PGY1 resident and upon completion accepted a career position as a Critical Care Staff Pharmacist. In 2003, she was promoted to Clinical Services Supervisor where she practiced in a split clinical Critical Care and administrative role for the next five years. Serving as Assistant Chief/Clinical Director since 2008, Dr. Parker is currently responsible for the oversight of planning, implementing, and managing progressive clinical pharmacy practice throughout the inpatient setting for the adult and children’s hospital.
Dr. Parker's commitment to hospital pharmacy practice began in 1988 where she worked as a hospital technician for seven years before entering pharmacy school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1999. Educational endeavors since then include receiving a Master of Science in Health Services Administration with a focus on Quality and Performance Improvement in 2019 from the University of Wyoming and completing a Fellowship with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in 2021.
In addition to her Assistant Chief/Clinical Director role, she holds faculty positions at both UC San Francisco School of Pharmacy and UC Davis School of Medicine as a Health Sciences Associate Professor and leads the PGY1 Acute Care Residency as the program Director for UC Davis Medical Center.
