Deepali Dixit, PharmD, FCCM, BCCCP, holds a joint position as Clinical Associate Professor at Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and Clinical Specialist in Critical Care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. A large percentage of her time is spent on doing what she loves, helping in the care of the critically ill. As the clinical pharmacist in the medical intensive care unit, she participates in daily rounds and has become an integral member of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient care. She works closely with the team to optimize pharmacotherapy, ensures continuity of care and patient safety, and promotes and implements best practices. Her areas of research interest include infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship in critically ill, sedation and delirium, alcohol withdrawal, and hypertensive emergency.
