Dr. Adams now serves as the Associate Director Medical Science Liaison at La Jolla Pharmaceuticals; working with key opinion leaders in the northeast region, he continues to focus on the advancement in critical care and infectious disease.
Prior to this role; in 2014 Dr. Adams transitioned to the role of Clinical Associate Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy (EMSOP); Rutgers University where he dedicated his time in academia, critical care and clinical research. During this time as clinical faculty, Dr. Adams served as a Critical Care Specialist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Working and teaching at the beside and supporting the true multidisciplinary approach to critical care has been his long-standing initiative.
Dr. Chris Adams received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2004 from Northeastern University. After graduated he directed his career toward in-patient, urgent-care pharmacy and engaged in an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, MA. Upon completion, Dr. Adams joined the BWH team as a clinical specialist and focused his clinical efforts and research in the Surgical Intensive Unit (SICU) for over ten years.
In service to the profession, he is an active member and leader in ACCP and SCCM. Dr. Adams has published over 30 textbook chapters and peer reviewed research articles on topics ranging from but not limited to Anticoagulation, Critical Care, Shock, and Infectious Diseases.
