Srdjan (Serge) Gajic, MD, MHQS completed Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2022 and subsequently joined the University of Pennsylvania Health System faculty, with a leadership role as the Associate Director of Respiratory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He earned his MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California – San Francisco. His interests include quality improvement and patient safety, respiratory care, and patient experience. He has led numerous multidisciplinary initiatives while at Penn, including implementing processes to facilitate speech during mechanical ventilation and working to decrease delays to extubation in the ICU setting. He was selected to receive the Joan A. Grillo Memorial Scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety and was awarded the Richard P. Shannon Fellow Award for Outstanding Leadership in Quality and Safety.
