Michael Ripple, MD, PhD is a fellow in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He completed his MD and PhD degrees at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, followed by a Fogarty Global Health Fellowship at the Institute for Clinical Effectiveness and Health Policy in Buenos Aires, and residency training in pediatrics at Washington University/ St. Louis Children’s Hospital. His research focuses on pediatric ARDS, specifically elucidating the underlying immune response and exploring molecular mechanisms as therapeutic targets. He has a long-standing interest in pediatric respiratory illness, having previously worked on neonatal models of RSV and influenza infection.
